Family Need and Childcare Assessment
What type of childcare and household support does your family need to keep a healthy and sustainable life balance?
Just about any parent will tell you ...."Kids change everything"!
Your child will change your routine, priorities, marriage, budget, career, friendships, home and "you" as an individual. Change is not necessarily a bad thing, in fact, most parents will say that having kids is the BEST thing that ever happened to them... but it is still a big adjustment for your family.
At Choice Parenting, we believe that assessing your new family is the very first and most important step in finding quality childcare! It is essential for parents returning to work to take the time to evaluate their entire family's needs to establish a realistic childcare and home-life plan that ensures the most valued pieces and relationships in your life do not come unglued.
Our family and childcare need assessments will, of course, look at topics such as your work schedule and budget but quality childcare is much more than logistics! Your child will be spending a significant amount of time with whatever caregiver you choose, so you want to be certain that the care and education they receive matches the values and philosophies that your family upholds.
Our questionnaires are sent to parents via email and are used in conjunction with our Childcare Coaching Session to help parents choose the type of care best suited for their family and to assist them to communicate their needs and expectations during the searching, hiring and training process.
What is the 'Family Assessment'?
This questionnaire will give you (and your partner) the opportunity to think through and communicate your family's needs, wants, and child raising beliefs and assist us in preparing the information that will best suit you. We will take a look at the details of your schedule, career requirements, individual needs and aspirations, personality and emotional comfort zones, parenting style, household duties and more. This questionnaire is lengthy in size but easy and quick to complete with Adobe form checkboxes and comment sections. Keep in mind that you only need to fill out only as much information as makes you feel comfortable. We ask all families to complete and send back this confidentially kept questionnaire before their coaching session, to give insight into your family's needs, so that we can better assist you. All Choice Parenting documents and template from our store require the use of the free version of Adobe Reader.
What Is the 'Nanny Needs Questionnaire'?
The Nanny Needs Questionnaire will also be provided to clients who believe a nanny will best suit their childcare needs. The questionnaire will ask you important questions to help you communicate what you want your nanny to do (and not do!), how you want her to interact and treat your children, your home culture, your management style, the type of skills and experience she needs for the job and what important child raising philosophies that she needs to be on board with to ensure everyone is working well together.
