This survey is for current nanny employers of live-out nannies located in Hoboken, Jersey City, Weehawken, Edgewater, Union City and West New York, NJ.
Most parents will agree that searching for a nanny to entrust with their children and home is one of the most difficult and important hiring decisions they will ever face. As a local childcare consultant, I am constantly fielding questions from both new and seasoned parents regarding the standard and norms of hiring a nanny in the Hoboken and Jersey City area. How much does a nanny cost hourly? How many paid vacation, holidays and sick days do families typically provide? Do most employers pay for a nanny’s transportation costs?
The nanny industry is vital to so many families, yet it is difficult to navigate asthere is little regulation in the nanny market; hear-say among both parents and nannies regarding standards and pay, and it seems that few families follow the legal guidelines that the IRS and government entities have implemented. Choice Parenting would like to bring some clarity to our local parents and nannies on what the general practices are when hiring both full time and part time nannies.
So please help us spread the word about this survey to give parents and nannies valuable information about the trends and statistics for our area: Hoboken, Jersey City, Union City, Edgewater, Weehawken and surround NJ neighborhoods. Once data is collected, and numbers are crunched, I will send the results to all participants who provide their email information. I will also be raffling off (6) $25 Amazon gift cards as a small thanks! The survey is open through June 30, 2018.
